HiveSpace ("we," "us") operates the HiveSpace mobile app and the services it connects to. This page explains what information we collect, how it's used, and how you can have it deleted.

What we collect

• Account: the email address and password you register with. Passwords are hashed (bcrypt) before storage — we never store or can see your actual password.
• Profile (optional): a display name, pronouns, and a free-text location you can type in (e.g. "Seattle") if you choose to share it. This is text you type, never GPS or device location data — HiveSpace never requests location permission from your device.
• Conversations: the messages you send to your companion, so it can respond and remember your relationship over time.
• Voice notes: if you send one, the audio is transcribed to text and the audio file itself is discarded immediately — we never store raw audio.
• Photos: if you send one, it's used to let your companion see the same photo you sent, then deleted from our servers right after — we don't keep uploaded photos.
• Device timezone: so your companion can be aware of what time it is for you — a timezone name, not your location.

How your data is used

Your conversation text is sent to OpenRouter, a third-party AI inference provider, so your companion can generate a response. If you request a spoken reply, that reply's text is sent to Resemble.ai to generate the audio. Neither service receives your email, password, or any account information — only the message content needed to respond.

We do not use analytics SDKs, ad networks, or third-party trackers of any kind. We do not log IP addresses in the app itself.

How long we keep it

Your account, conversations, and companion memory are kept until you delete your account (see below) or ask us to. We don't currently auto-delete conversation history, so keeping your data only as long as you want it is on you — delete your account any time to remove everything.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and everything tied to it — conversations, memory, your companion(s), and your profile — at any time from Settings in the app, or by visiting hivespace.cc/delete-account.
